Poly International Plaza

Project details

Located approximately halfway between the Forbidden City and Beijing Capital Airport, the Poly International Plaza will occupy a prominent position immediately adjacent to the Capital Airport Expressway and its interchange with the Fifth Ring Road. The area is a former village rapidly becoming engulfed by Beijing’s relentless outward expansion. The project will be the first building in a proposed new business district. For now, the site is a flat, open expanse without streets or infrastructure. An emerging district of 100m tall residential buildings is rising approximately half a kilometer to the west, an open space reserve is to the east, a major public open space is planned immediately to the west and south, and an unorganized agricultural-industrial sprawl delineates the area to the north. Surrounded by open space on three sides, and with its proximity to the Capital Airport Expressway, the project will be a highly visible terminus to the new district’s proposed skyline.
